Reflections on being crowned School Captain
Mood:  special
Now it's been a few days since I was announced School Captain, so I've had some time to reflect on my new responsibilities and privileges.
Today was my induction ceremony at school (well it was the induction of all the school's new prefects). It was a long ceremony, but I found it very interesting and I feel that I did a good job when I had to give all my prefects their badges. It feels so great to finally have my school captain position confirmed and rock solid.
At lunch we had a debating team meeting. We have a meet soon with St Anthony's for the next debate in our interschool debating competition. The St Anthony's guys are pretty tough, so Sister Maria said we'd have to work extra hard and start doing after school practices!!! As usual everyone complained, and I can understand why they're annoyed since everything is so hectic right no. It seems like this year we've all realised what a precious commodity time is, and how hard it is to keep on top of things. Its especially hard just to stay home and study when all you want to do is meet your friends for a coffee, or go to the movies or a party. But I seriously need to keep my focus if I want to be dux this year and to win the english prize instead of someone who doesn't work half as hard as I do and so doesn't deserve it.
Well that's enough ranting so onto other things,
after school I went to John's place and we basically just chilled out and had a fun time...
Man, its been so hot lately..what a sweltering summer , eh?
It was really great to chill in John's pool and escape the heat!!!!
Well I better go now, I have piles of homework awaiting!
Love you guys!

School Captain Election results are in, and the winner is....
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Ren and Stimpy's "Happy happy joy joy" =)
MOI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By golly gosh I feel so incredibly , euphorically, ecstatically, well Happy! Of course, it wasn't all that surprising as I was expecting to get School Captain anyway. But as I proclaimed in my acceptance speech to the school (my first speech as school captain of St Martha's)being crowned school captain was an honour and I will do my best to uphold the noble name of St Martha's Secondary College with pride and dignity.
The only minor downside to my day was the unwise choice of Vice-school Captain by the school. I don't know what they were thinking when they elected Josephine Alibrandi as Vice to me, as she is certainly not a good role model. I also find her leadership qualities questionable and believe that she is not able to occupy such a position in the way it deserves to be occupied. I will certainly be making my opinion clear to our Principal, Sister Louise as I believe the school deserves better. Josephine Alibrandi represents nothing of what St Martha stands for or the qualities a St Martha's girl epitomises. She is disobedient, disrespectful and just plain trouble.
But I suppose I will just have to work harder and put more in to catch up the slack that Josephine Alibrandi will certainly create, and I don't mind devoting myself wholly to the job. It's just a shame really, that a more suitable Vice- Captain was not chosen.
Well anyway, I'm off to do my maths homework now! Only 4 hours of it to go! Hurray! lol... well I was just to excited to get to work straight away anmd had to share my feelings with all my friends...
Thanks for the cards and all the congratulations guys! I t really meant a lot to me to have all my friends so supportive of me..
Bye!!
